The surrounding area is as it might have been when the barns were built. There is no shortage of things to do, the coast known as the Jurassic Coast, England’s only natural “World Heritage Site”. A short distance from Upton Farm rests the romantic ruins of Corfe Castle set dramatically in a gap in the Purbeck Hills. The Castle dominates the village which is so picturesque that it looks like a film set. Additional places of note are Abbotsbury with its world renowned Gardens and Swannery. Beautiful Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. The Ancient Port of Weymouth and Historic Dorchester are close by. Ringstead Bay is a pleasant walk of about a mile from the cottages. Eating out, you can walk to the 13th Century Smugglers Inn, situated in a stunning position on the Jurassic Cliffs. Other local pubs specialise in quality home cooked food sourced from local farms. Sea food is a speciality in many pubs and restaurants.
